Those who make a profit by abusing or exploiting animals will be exposed for who they really are.
Geoff and Eileen Baker own at least one piggery, Springview Piggery, in Gooloogong NSW. Here, they keep female pigs in tiny metal and concrete cages known as sow stalls and farrowing crates; they perform mutilations on piglets without anaesthetic, such as tail and teeth cutting; and they confine 'grower' pigs to small concrete pens. These are all industry-accepted practices, and are entirely legal.
In October 2013, a sow at their piggery gave birth to a litter of stillborns, causing paralysis in her back legs. They left her in a farrowing crate unable to reach food and water for several days before they decided to kill her.
